Do I Qualify for Dental Veneers?
Adults with fully developed teeth who have healthy gum tissues and no active dental infections may qualify for veneer treatment. Although veneers mask the front of visible tooth enamel, they are not used for treating severe areas of decay or structural tooth damage.
Veneers can be a great option for any adult who wishes to improve the appearance of their smile. They are especially useful for erasing the signs of:
- Crowded, crooked, or gapped teeth
- Uneven or asymmetrical tooth enamel
- Stains that do not respond to whitening
The Dental Veneers Process
Traditional veneers usually require two visits after the initial consultation. During the first phase, we will numb the teeth being treated and slightly modify your enamel to allow the veneer to fit over those teeth. After that, we will take an impression of your teeth and send it to our lab with specific instructions on how each veneer should be designed.
We will fit temporary veneers over your teeth while the permanent ones are being designed. Once everything is completed about two weeks later, we will schedule a second appointment and bond your permanent veneers in place.
